Place & story
Saint Moling’s Church
Saint Moling’s Catholic Church at Glynn dates from about 1815. Its pointed-arch openings belong to the original cruciform design. Around 1875, builders added side aisles, an arcaded crossing and a belfry. Another renovation about a century later introduced projecting porches and reordered the interior. The National Inventory of Architectural Heritage records it in Bahana townland. [2]
Education at Glynn
Scoil Moling traces its establishment to 1829. Its twentieth-century building opened in 1942 with two classrooms, gaining another in 1964 and a prefabricated room in 1995. A renovated and extended school opened on 1 September 2021, followed by a new playground in November 2023. [3]
