Place & story
A house in the rental
Trinaderry House stands in Derry townland, Templemaley parish. The University of Galway’s estate researchers report that the rental advertising Andrew Enright’s estate sale in July 1885 described the house as built for his own residence within the preceding ten years. [2]
The advertised estate covered 782 acres in Bunratty Upper. A further sale of more than 100 acres in the same barony was advertised in November 1887, but adjourned. These notices document the estate’s changing circumstances; they do not by themselves establish who bought or occupied the house afterwards. [2]
