Place & story
Drumcliffe Cooperative Creamery
The creamery comprises two adjoining blocks dating from around 1900. A tall octagonal chimney rises from the western block, while brick surrounds frame the windows and doors. Decorative iron railings and an elaborate gate enclose part of the frontage. The architectural survey connects these buildings with changes in dairy farming at the end of the nineteenth century. [2]
