Place & story
A rector’s house
The architectural inventory dates the former Church of Ireland glebe house to 1789–90, with financial help from the Board of First Fruits. It records that Francis Johnston claimed the design in an 1820 letter to James Norris Brewer. [2]
House and outbuildings
The house has two storeys above a partly raised basement, with a projecting central bay topped by a stone pediment. Steps lead to the entrance, while timber sash windows survive. A coach house and stable, gate lodge and iron entrance gates complete the group. [2]
