Place & story
A later settlement
Beyond Noughaval’s graveyard wall lie the remains of small houses and other buildings. Bernadette O’Halloran’s account records a 1990 excavation of one house by a team led by Sinead Ni Ghablain of the University of California, Los Angeles. She places the houses’ occupation broadly between the seventeenth and nineteenth centuries. [2]
