Place & story
From several buildings to one site
Ardscoil Rath Iomgháin traces its beginnings to a 1971 amalgamation involving the Sisters of Mercy convent and Kildare VEC. Classes initially occupied two town buildings. Senior-cycle teaching began in 1975, and the first Leaving Certificate examinations followed in 1977. The school moved to a new site in 1986. Its institutional history records a library added in 1993 and an extension including a sports hall in 2006, marking further changes to its educational facilities. [2]
