Place & story
A mill that changed its work
Historic Environment Division’s Slieve Gullion heritage appendix records a corn-mill site in Lislea that later became a flax mill. It lists a separate creamery a short distance to the west. The two entries preserve evidence of different kinds of processing within the townland, although the appendix does not supply their operating dates. Its industrial-heritage list was compiled as at 8 October 2018. [2]
