Place & story
Women and the congregation
An account by Stephen Mayes records how three Methodist Women leaders discovered that their mothers-in-law had all worshipped at Letterbreen. Dorothy Humphreys helped prepare and serve refreshments at meetings. Edith Carson walked from Corryglass to church and Sunday school with six siblings, attending for 25 years before her marriage. [2]
The crossroads
The district council’s countryside assessment identifies the Methodist church as the focus of a small crossroads settlement on the Enniskillen–Belcoo road, within a drumlin landscape. [3]
