Place & story

A house with corner gables

The architectural inventory dates Jalma to about 1890. Its Dutch-style gables rise at the south-western corner, finished with limestone coping and pointed finials. A projecting porch faces west, while a canted bay window extends from the southern wall. The porch entrance has an ogee-shaped head above the glazed doors. Rendered bands and cornices continue the decorative treatment across the porch and bay. [2]
