Playground and classroom libraries
A Department of Education and Science inspection of Laragh National School, near Stradone, on 3 May 2007 recorded practical contributions to school life. Clár funding had extended and resurfaced the playground and provided an adjacent bus parking area. Parents organised second-hand book sales and book fairs, and helped establish classroom libraries. They also provided transport to matches, coached sports teams and assisted with maintenance. The report was issued on 21 February 2008. [2]
