In 1901, this Ballygowan contained fifty-seven people: twenty-seven males and thirty females. Of fourteen houses, thirteen were inhabited and one was empty. The comparative columns record fifty-one residents in 1891 and forty-nine in 1881, with nine and ten houses respectively. The table identifies the townland within Drumbeg parish and electoral division, in the Down portion of Lisburn Union.
