Place & story
A reunion in 2013
Organiser Kay O’Leary described the school’s fiftieth-anniversary gathering on 4 May 2013. More than 300 attended, with old registers and photographs displayed. A coach connected the community centre and school, although some former pupils chose to walk their old route. Refreshments followed at the centre. [2]
Community national school
Kerry Education and Training Board subsequently welcomed the school into its patronage as a multidenominational community national school. Its opening-day account recorded enrolment rising from 18 to 28 pupils and the introduction of a school bus serving the surrounding area. [3]
