Place & story
Tower and vestry
Milltown’s Church of Ireland church bears the date 1819. Its entrance tower has a battlemented top and small hexagonal corner turrets. The National Inventory of Architectural Heritage records alterations around 1865, including a stone vestry set at an angle against the northern corner. The east window’s limestone tracery also belongs to that phase. Stone grave markers and an early nineteenth-century gateway form part of the surrounding burial ground. [2]
